Healing Home Health Care — Payroll & Profit Tool

Upload your Kinnser visit export → pay calculation, spending dashboard & per-patient profit & loss  ·  build 2026-10-13g · hosted

1. Upload the Kinnser export

Download the visit/activity report from Kinnser as Excel or CSV, then drop it here. Nothing leaves your computer — all processing happens in your browser.

Drag & drop the Kinnser file here
or click to choose a .xlsx / .xls / .csv file

Spending dashboard

Every payroll you calculate on the Run Payroll tab is saved here automatically, so you can see what you spend each pay period and each month. Nothing leaves your computer.

Patient spend per payroll period

What every patient's visits cost you in each saved pay period — visit pay + premium + mileage, less deductions. The period picked above is highlighted.

See the numbers (table)

Patient spend per month

The same patient spend by calendar month. Each visit counts in the month it happened, so a pay period that straddles two months is split between them.

See the numbers (table)

Per-patient spend

What each patient's visits cost you. Click any patient row to see and edit every visit behind that number.

Separate file — a tab per patient. It is no longer inside the payroll report.

Each patient, each payroll

One row per patient, one column per pay period — so you can see exactly what each patient costs you every payroll.

Each patient, each month

The same thing by calendar month.

Saved pay periods

Re-running the same period on the Run Payroll tab replaces the saved copy, so corrections always win.

Profit & Loss

Revenue billed − what you paid clinicians (straight from the payroll above) − supplies − overhead = profit, for every patient and for the agency.

Per-patient P&L

Set each patient's payer once. Per-visit payers fill their own revenue from the visit count × rate. For a Medicare episode, type what the episode actually paid in the Revenue box. Revenue and supplies are saved per period; payer and rate are remembered for the patient.

Yellow cells are yours to edit. Clearing a revenue box puts it back to the automatic figure.

Quick profit calculator

A what-if for one patient, one clinician or a whole month. Nothing here is saved — type and read the answer.

1. Connect to SharePoint

Sign in with your Microsoft 365 account to keep this tool's data — rates, staff, saved pay periods, patient payers and P&L figures — in a SharePoint library instead of only in this browser, and to file every Excel report there automatically. Your IT admin fills the two IDs in once (steps at the bottom of this page).

2. Where everything goes

Pick the document library and the folder inside it. Anything missing is created for you the first time.

Pick a document library above to see its folders.

3. Shared data

One data file in SharePoint holds your rates, staff, every saved pay period and the P&L figures. Save it after you run payroll; load it on any other computer to see exactly the same Dashboard and Profit & Loss.

One-time set-up (your Microsoft 365 admin does this once)

Show the steps
  1. Go to entra.microsoft.com ▸ Applications ▸ App registrations ▸ New registration.
  2. Name it Healing Payroll Tool. Supported account types: Accounts in this organizational directory only.
  3. Under Redirect URI choose platform Single-page application (SPA) and enter http://localhost:8777/index.html. Register, then add a second SPA URI http://localhost:8777/.
  4. On the app's Overview page copy the Application (client) ID and the Directory (tenant) ID into the boxes at the top of this page.
  5. Go to API permissions ▸ Add a permission ▸ Microsoft Graph ▸ Delegated permissions and add: User.Read, Files.ReadWrite.All, Sites.ReadWrite.All.
  6. Click Grant admin consent for <your organisation> — this needs a Global or Application admin; without it the sign-in will be refused.
  7. Open the tool with the Start Payroll Tool launcher (not by double-clicking the HTML file) — Microsoft refuses sign-in from a file opened directly.
  8. Paste your SharePoint site address above, sign in, pick the library, then click Save data to SharePoint.
Nothing is sent anywhere else: the tool talks only to Microsoft, with your own account's permissions. Anyone who can open the library can use the data; anyone who cannot, cannot.

Settings — pay rules

These match what you told me. Edit anytime; saved automatically in this browser.

$0.75 / minute = $45 / hour. Weekend = Saturday or Sunday, detected from the visit date.

Rate Tables — pay per visit/task type

Dollars paid for each visit/task type under each rate level. The visit type names must match what Kinnser puts in the visit-type column. (Active Care = AQTIVE QARE.)

Employees

One row per employee. Name must match the Kinnser export. Rate plan = one of your rate levels (or "Hourly"). Hourly rate only for hourly staff.

Who may change things

Set a manager PIN to put every other computer into payroll mode: they can run payroll and edit rates and staff, but not change the SharePoint connection, delete saved pay periods, or touch this PIN. The PIN travels with the data file, so every computer that loads it is locked the same way. Keep it to yourself — it is what unlocks manager mode.

Recent changes

Who last changed rates, staff or pay rules. The full history of the file is kept by SharePoint — right-click HHC-Payroll-Data.json there and choose Version history to see or restore any earlier version.

Backup / restore

Your setup is stored in this browser. Export a backup file to keep it safe or move it to another computer.
